HOUSTON: A Pakistani female student has been hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a speeding vehicle in Houston, Texas.
Dania Zaheer, an MBA student in the US, reported being hit by a reckless driver who fled the scene following the accident.
The Karachi-native suffered six fractures and is set to undergo major surgery at a Houston hospital today.
The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the top students at her university.
Pakistan’s Consul General in Houston, Aftab Chaudhry, along with former Federal Minister Baber Ghori and others, visited the hospital to offer support and solidarity.
They emphasized that the American-Pakistani community stands united with her in this challenging time.
As of now, the driver responsible for the hit-and-run has not been apprehended.
