At the meeting of the Security Council on the Lebanon-Israel war, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that a full-scale war in Lebanon must be stopped at all costs.
He said that Lebanon should not become another Gaza. An all-out war in Lebanon would lead to disaster.
Antonio Guterres said Lebanon’s sovereignty must be respected, supporting Lebanon’s efforts to strengthen its armed forces.
In the meeting, the French Foreign Minister said that they are working with the US on a 21-day temporary ceasefire for negotiations, and the temporary ceasefire plan will be revealed soon.
At the meeting of the Security Council, the Israeli delegate to the United Nations said that Israel will give priority to diplomacy in Lebanon, if diplomacy fails, Israel will use all means.
The Israeli representative said that if Hezbollah stops its operations, Israel will stop immediately.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan emphasized the need for comprehensive reforms in the Security Council.
While discussing at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting, he said that wars and political conflicts sabotage peace and security efforts, comprehensive reforms are necessary to deal with growing crises in the region.
