Calcutta Rape Case: Doctor’s last moments accompanied by college principal’s ‘lie detector test’

According to Indian media reports, the court heard the case on Thursday in which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) charged Sandeep Ghosh and four other doctors in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor on August 9. Presented
The court allowed the polygraph test of Ghosh and the four doctors as all five were with the dying doctor during his last moments.
According to Indian media, the CBI produced Sandeep Ghosh and four other junior doctors in the court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in North Calcutta’s Sealdah to seek permission to conduct lie detector tests.
Officials said that this test can be done only after permission from the court and the consent of the suspect.
According to media reports, Sandeep Ghosh had resigned from the post after the trainee doctor’s murder, but he was immediately given a senior position in another hospital, which has raised several questions.
Apart from this, Sandeep Ghosh is being investigated for allegations of financial irregularities at the government health centre.
