On the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, holidays have been announced in the educational institutions in Islamabad, but the administration has allowed the O/A level examinations to be held.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has said that the A/O level exams will be held in three centers in Islamabad and the institutions conducting these exams will be able to remain open.
DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz said that E-11, Noor Mahal GT Road and H8 examination centers will remain open while the rest of the educational institutions will remain completely closed during the session.
Meanwhile, all cash and carry marts, restaurants, wedding halls, snooker clubs across the city in Rawalpindi will be closed for 5 days from October 12 to 16. The SHOs of the police stations have also taken surety bonds from all the owners.
Due to the conference, the accused will not be produced in the courts for five days from Adiala Jail and the courts have started scheduling the hearing of all important cases after October 16.

A complete ban has been imposed on pigeon flying and kite flying in areas of 3 kilometers around Noor Khan Chaklala Airbase. Pigeon nets were demolished from houses and roofs.
